Namsai
The Namsai district of Arunachal Pradesh is one of important tourist hubs of the state. The main tourist attraction of Namsai is the Golden Pagoda Monastery (also known as ‘Khongmu Kham’ in the local Khamti language) at Tengapani. The Golden Pagoda Monastery is one of the largest Buddhist monasteries in Northeast India. Being home to many Buddhist pilgrimages, Namsai is one of the best places to and witness the devotional and tranquil culture of Buddhism. Other important tourist attractions of Namsai are the International Bana Meditation Centre, Buddha Vihara in Chongkham, and Empong Monastery. The statue installed in the Empong Monastery is believed to have special powers by the local people.
